Quick guide on how to avoid Windows defender problem.

Managing Windows Defender False Positives for Skyridge

To ensure uninterrupted usage of Skyridge, it's crucial to address any false positives that Windows Defender might detect. We strongly advise whitelisting Skyridge to prevent such issues. Follow these steps to whitelist the application:

  1. Accessing Windows Defender Settings:

    • Navigate to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.

  2. Adding Skyridge to Exclusions:

    • Within the Virus & threat protection settings, choose Manage settings.

    • Scroll down to Exclusions and select Add or remove exclusions.

    • Click on Add an exclusion, then choose Folder to select your Skyridge folder. Repeat the process to add an exclusion for the Skyridge file specifically.

  3. Addressing Known False Positives:

    • If Skyridge is erroneously detected as a threat, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection History.

    • Locate the event where Skyridge was blocked under Threat blocked. Verify it corresponds to the time you were using Skyridge and select Actions > Allow to prevent Windows Defender from blocking it in the future.

  4. Alternative Solution:

    • As a last resort, you might consider disabling your antivirus. However, this should be done with caution as it exposes your system to potential threats. We recommend keeping your antivirus active and properly configuring exclusions for Skyridge.

By following these steps, you can ensure that Skyridge operates smoothly without being hindered by Windows Defender.
